Ask about referrals →Affordable mental health support and practical training for the Jewish community in Essex and London, so people are not priced out of the help they need.
We are a registered charity set up so that therapy and skills training sit within reach for the Jewish community when money is tight or mental health is suffering—especially for young people who need a steadier path into education or work.
Qualified professionals deliver therapy and coaching (including listening skills and confidence for work), with supervision and clear professional standards. We invite enquiries, and send an application pack. Initial meetings are then scheduled to discuss the right path for you and explore the next steps together.
We work in Jewish communities across England and partner with professionals and employers to support our clients. Therapy and services are charged at a subsidised rate according to means and funding available – we agree this with each person so cost does not block care.
“Many distraught parents have pleaded for discounts and shorter sessions due to lack of affordability, with many going without the help they need. The inspiration to set up Mind Stars is to encourage those who are vulnerable and reinforce that everyone can shine regardless of their affordability or mental wellbeing.”
“Mind Stars empowers young adults to navigate a world of employment and changes to their environment. With the right mindset and equipped with new skills, young adults feel ready to conquer challenges.”
A range of services is offered to support our clients in many areas. Each programme is tailored to the needs of the individual. A high standard of confidentiality and safeguarding is maintained across all operations.
We want people’s lives to improve and have their mental health addressed professionally, and coaching toward work so that suffering eases and people can become contributing, positive members of society. We are new; numbers and annual reports will follow as we grow.
Our charitable purposes are to help people from the Jewish community who are in need because of financial hardship and/or poor mental health. Trustees ensure this focus is justified in law (including the Equality Act) where mainstream services do not meet the same cultural and religious needs.
